Terms & Conditions for Contract Plan subscribers
  1. The Service is valid as of 13 June 2016 and it applies only to MTN PayMonthly and MTN Up2U existing Subscribers, whose their line is active the last 6 months and they have never activated any MTN Mobile Internet Plan or MTN BlackBerry Internet Services.
  2. Subscribers will receive an SMS on their mobile line informing them that MTN will give them 3GB data usage free, which can be used within 30 days of its activation.
  3. Subscribers are required to activate the service. Note that with the activation of the Service if any GPRS barring was installed on the mobile line, this will be automatically removed in order to allow the subscriber to browse the internet.
  4. At the end of the 30 days period, MTN will be informing the subscribers in regards to the data usage performed up until the given time and date and will be recommending the most suitable MTN Mobile Internet plan based on the data usage during the Data Pass period.
  5. At the end of the 30 days period, the subscriber will need to request for the re-installation of GPRS barring. Otherwise, in case any ad-hoc data usage is made the subscriber will be charged for any ad hoc data usage as per the Daily Data plan.   6. Τo protect the performance of the network and to ensure the best experience for all users of MTN data services, at times of high network traffic MTN may manage the MTN Mobile Broadband speed or restrict the activation of MTN Data Pass service.
  7. The 3GB data usage of the MTN Data Pass service which are given free of charge, can only be used exclusively within Cyprus.
Terms & Conditions for Prepaid subscribers
  1. The Service is available only to MTN PayAsyouGo existing Subscribers, that have been active for at least three (3) months and they haven’t used any mobile data for the past three (3) months.
  2. The Service can be activated once (1) per year.
  3. The service comes into force when the subscribers send a free SMS to 8008.
  4. Upon activation, subscribers will receive an SMS on their mobile line informing them that MTN will give them 1GB data usage for free, which can be used within thirty (30) days from the day of activation. The said period.
  5. At the end of the thirty (30) days period, MTN will inform the subscribers for the data usage used up until that given time and will be recommending the most suitable MTN Mobile Internet plan based on the data usage during the Data Pass period.
  6. In order to protect the performance of the network and to ensure the best possible experience for all users of data services, MTN may manage the speed of the MTN Mobile Broadband connection and/or prohibit the activation of the MTN Data Pass service during time of high data traffic on its network.
  7. The 1GB data usage of the MTN Data Pass service which are given free of charge, can only be used exclusively within Cyprus.
