With MTN’s new Missed Call Alert service, the company’s subscribers gain an additional privilege of no longer missing calls, even if their mobile is turned off, they are out of coverage, busy or unavailable.
This new service provides the ability to all MTN subscribers to track their missed calls in cases where they don’t want or can’t accept a call, when their mobile is turned off or out of coverage, busy or unavailable. Specifically, the subscriber receives an SMS free of charge for every missed call, which includes the date, time and phone number of each missed call, while for more than one missed call from the same number, the text message includes a summary of unsuccessful attempts from that number. The message is valid for 7 days from the last missed call. This value-added service is available to all MTN subscribers who activate the service by sending an SMS to 8020 with the text “MCA ON EN” or “MCA ON GR”, choosing, thus, the language, in which they prefer to receive the Missed Call Alert SMS.
