MTN and APOEL football club have renewed their successful cooperation for the next three years. As a major sponsor, MTN’s logo will be displayed on the team’s jerseys until 2012. The renewal of the cooperation between MTN and APOEL was officially announced during an event held recently by the football team. By continuing its cooperation with APOEL, MTN once more proves its desire to support the country’s sports, something the multinational MTN Group does on a global scale. The Group has created a long tradition in supporting athletics and especially football championships in the countries it operates. Through these sponsorships the MTN Group gives back the trust it receives from society. As part of this policy, the Group will sponsor the 2010 World Cup that will be held in South Africa. MTN Cyprus CEO Bassel Jamaleddine congratulated APOEL for this season’s outstanding performances and wished its players and board the best in the coming years.
