Apoel first game for the championship begins on the 1st of September and MTN Cyprus - having a long standing tradition in supporting football worldwide - offers a new SMS service for Apoel football club fans. In particular, Apoel fans who are MTN subscribers can vote for their most valued player of the team and, at the same time, participate into a weekly draw for a €100 / £58,52 gift voucher from the orange shop. This service will continue until the championship ends, in May 2009. The procedure is quite easy. Subscribers should send a text with the jersey number of their most Valued Player to the short code 4455. The results will be announced at the next home game via intercom and will also be posted on the Apoel website. Subscribers and fans will only be allowed to vote for one week, from the time the game begins until the Friday before the next game. The winning player each week will be presented with a trophy from MTN. The cost for each SMS is €0,575 / £0,336 including VAT.
