ΜΤΝ Cyprus, acknowledging the need of creating awareness and taking measures against road accidents in Cyprus, signed recently the European Road Safety Charter at a special event held at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of the President of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias. In his statement, MTN’s CEO, Mr. Bassel Jamaleddine, highlighted: “At ΜΤΝ Cyprus, we are always concerned about the Cyprus society. Therefore, we could not remain neutral by the efforts of Cyprus and the European Union, to reduce the road accident increasing numbers. By signing this Charter today, we commit that road safety is –and will continue to be– in our priorities. At the same time, we urge corporations, companies and organizations to join this social alliance in order to confront such an important issue.” ΜΤΝ has already submitted an integrated plan of action that includes initiatives which will contribute to the further enlightenment not only of MTN’s staff and clients, but also of public regarding the road safety, by exposing relevant messages.
