Terms and Conditions

General

All prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged to your monthly bill.
Prices are correct at time of printing, but may change at any time. MTN will inform its customers of changes to their MTN pay monthly Price Plan in line with their Subscription Contract.
Connection
Connections include a SIM Card and are subject to signing a Subscription Contract.
The SIM Card is usually activated within one day upon the signature of a Subscription Contract. Should you receive a faulty/incompatible SIM Card, which is not in working condition, you must report the fault and obtain a new SIM Card free of charge.
All MTN pay monthly Price Plans are subject to signing a Subscription Contract of a Minimum Period of 12, 18* or 24* month (*required if special packages are purchased).
All connections are subject to a connection fee (unless otherwise stated).
MTN may in some cases require a deposit to be paid before a connection can be established. MTN may also decline your application in certain instances. All Subscription Contract connections are subject to acceptance by MTN.
Monthly itemised billing is free of charge if requested on a regular basis.
Calls from MTN
For national calls: peak hours 07:00 – 22:00 daily including public holidays, off peak hours 22:00 – 07:00 daily including public holidays.
Inclusive minutes of any MTN pay monthly Price Plan include national calls to standard fixed line numbers and mobile numbers.
Unused inclusive minutes can be carried forward one month to the next for a maximum period of 1 month.
Voice messaging system menu access, fax – data services and calls to universal access, premium, short, special numbers are subject to different charging principles.
Unless otherwise stated, call prices are quoted by the minute, and charged in 1-second increments. Each call is charged excluding VAT and then rounded up to the nearest cent.
Roaming charges apply when you are using your mobile while you are abroad connected to any foreign network, including charges for incoming calls.
Calls to MTN
The charges for calls to your mobile from any other network are set by the other network operators.
You are not charged for receiving calls unless you are roaming on any foreign network. You will be charged for the international leg of calls received to your mobile while you are abroad.
Messaging (SMS, MMS)
You are not charged for receiving SMS and MMS except when you are roaming on foreign networks. Delivery cannot always be guaranteed. SMS has a different charge than MMS. Inclusive text messages cover texts sent in Cyprus and abroad. Inclusive text messages may not be carried over. Connection to SMS Bundle Package is free and you can terminate each package by giving us up to one month’s notice.
GPRS Data
GPRS Data will be charged per 2Kb and rounded up to the nearest cent at the end of each session. Moving between MTN pay monthly Price PlansContract connections – SIM only: You can change to any MTN pay monthly Price Plan at any time by giving us up to one month’s notice. The first three MTN pay monthly Price Plan changes are free of charge and €19.55 / £ 11.44 thereafter.
Contract with handset subsidy: in the event that you elect to downgrade your MTN pay monthly Price Plan, we will charge you the difference between the discount in the subsidy that applies in the MTN pay monthly Price Plan you want to downgrade and the original one.
If you change your MTN pay monthly Price Plan, any unused inclusive texts (SMS) will be lost.
Disconnections
If you elect to disconnect from our network for any reason prior to the expiry of the Minimum Period, you will be charged all the unpaid charges and fees.
If you receive a handset subsidy along with your selected MTN pay monthly Price Plan and you disconnect from our network for any reason before the expiry of the Minimum Period, then you will be charged the handset subsidy. The charge will depend on the Price Plan selected at the time of disconnection and will take into consideration the cost of the handset.
