How does it work?

  • WAP over GPRS
This stands for General Packet Radio Service. It keeps you permanently connected to the Internet but only charges you when your phone is sending or receiving data, which means that thinking and reading time is free. It's also fast - GPRS works at similar speeds to a dial-up modem on your home PC.
  • HTTP over GPRS
Handsets with an inbuilt internet browser can also use a GPRS connection to browse the internet.
