Answering Services Voice messaging service (VMS) VMS gives you the opportunity to receive a voice message if:
- Your mobile phone is turned off or is outside coverage area
- You do not answer a call
- Your line is engaged
- You have activated call divert to your voice messaging system for all your incoming calls
The caller will automatically be connected to your voice messaging system and leave a personal message for you. A text message notification will inform you that you have received a voice message.
Listen to your voice messages In order to listen to your voice messages from your MTN line, dial 121 then press SEND. When prompted, enter your voice messaging code then press #.
From a fixed telephone line or any other mobile line, dial 96121121followed by your mobile number. When prompted enter your voice messaging code and press #You can access the voice message system at anytime.
The maximum number of messages you can store in your voice messaging system is 20 messages of 30 seconds each.
Your incoming unheard messages can remain in your voice messaging system for 10 days.
Listened to but not deleted messages remain in your voice messaging system for 48 hours
Listened and saved messages remain in your voice messaging system for 7 days To leave a voice message directly to another person’s voice messaging system dial 121 followed by the chosen telephone number then press SEND. Once you have dialed your voice messaging system, listen to the customization instructions given by the automatic operator. Customizations include: changing your voice messaging code, as well as personalizing your greeting message. Standard entry for managing the time it takes to divert a call to your Voice Mail:
