«Volunteerism strengthens society, improves social cohesion and promotes care and trust among people». With this message, MTN continues for the second year the annual programme “21 days of Y’ello Care”. The programme encourages MTN staff to volunteer and contribute their efforts in various charity activities with a view to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work.
During June, MTN Cyprus is organizing a series of events with the view to “put color in the lives of children” all over the island. On the first day of summer, MTN, in collaboration with the Municipality of Strovolos will host a special party for children with clowns, face painting, balloons, soccer, music and many other surprises! The funds from the event will be donated to the ‘Elpida’ Foundation for children with cancer and leukemia.
Throughout the month, the staff and management of MTN Cyprus will literally put color to the lives of children by painting the Shelters ‘Dikaioma Zwis’ in Nicosia, ‘Ayios Georgios’ in Larnaca and ‘Ayios Stefanos’ in Limassol. The aim is to give a brand new, summer look which will also reflect to the lives of the children there.
Many other events are organized in the frame of the “21 Days of Y’ello Care” programme, encouraging volunteerism, not just among the staff of MTN, but among society, focusing on improving children’s quality of life and lifting their hopes for a better future.
