Terms and Conditions
- Call charges are set out in the Pay as you Go Price Guide. We can vary these charges from time to time. There may be additional charges for data and other services.
- No bill will be issued for your use of the Pay as you Go service.
- Each call you make is charged at the rate which is applied when the call commences.
- Calls are charged per second and there is no minimum call charge.
- Call to universal access, premium, short, special numbers have different charging principles.
- Your Pay as you Go account should be topped up with the selected prepaid amount. Your ability to make calls (except 112/199) will cease when the credit on your Pay as you Go account is zero, or has expired even if you are on call.
- The validity period for the initial airtime is 30 days while for the top up cards is 12 months excluding the €5 top up card which has a validity of 30 days. If the validity period expires without any new top up, all outgoing calls are barred and all incoming calls will be barred 10 days later.
- After the end of the validity period of the initial airtime or of the top up card plus the 10 days grace period, you can only make emergency calls for the next 90 days. If you want to reactivate your account you will have to contact MTN Call Centre at 136. If you do not reactivate your account then you will be disconnected from the Pay as you Go service and lose your mobile phone number.
- MTN booster cards can only be used if your Pay as you Go account is active within the validity period.
- We reserve the right to change the method by which you prepay for airtime on the network.
- We are not responsible for any calls being cut off where your airtime credit has been used up.
- Calls to any service numbers of other Network Operators will be charged accordingly.
- Calls to access your voice messaging service will be charged.
- Even when the SIM card is not in your possession, all charges for calls made using that SIM card will be debited from your Pay as you Go account.
- Please contact MTN Call Centre at 136 immediately if you lose your SIM card, or if it is stolen, so that it can be deactivated.
- If you lose or damage your SIM card you will need to purchase a new SIM card or a new Connection Pack. A new Connection Pack will have a new number.
