Missed Call AlertThe Missed Call Alert service is for all PM and PAYG customers and it is based on Unconditional Call Forwarding (CFU) and Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) to a specific number format +35796961005.
You will receive automatic SMS updates (with time and date) as and when you have missed a call for the following conditions FREE OF CHARGE:
- Call forwarding on busy
- Call forwarding on non reachable
- Call forwarding unconditional
If you are unavailable, the SMS will be sent as soon as you switch on your phone or reattach to the network.
You will also be able to modify the call forward to any other destination by yourself (by removing the call forwarding number and replacing it with a number of your choice).
Messages are valid for 7 days from the time of the missed call.
How to Activate / Deactivate the service: Activation – Send SMS to 8020 with text: “MCA ON EN’’ (For English) or “MCA ON GR” (For Greek) - Visit an MTN Service Centre - Call our MTN Call Centre at 136 (free of charge when calling from MTN line)
Deactivation - Send SMS to 8020 with text: “MCA OFF” - Visit an MTN Service Centre - Call our MTN Call Centre at 136 (free of charge when calling from MTN line)
N.B: The service will be activated within half an hour and you will receive a confirmation SMS accordingly.
You can also change the language: Send SMS to 8020 with text ‘MCA GR’ or ‘MCA EN’
Terms and Conditions- If the call is from an international number, there is no guarantee that the correct number will be shown as this is dependent on info provided by the other network.
- Withheld numbers will NOT be shown. You will receive an SMS with ‘unknown number’.
- The service is available under the MTN network and under national roaming (free of charge).
- MTN subscribers may not receive the Missed Call Alert message when they are abroad. This applies for Call forwarding on no reply and busy therefore the service may not be available to customers under international roaming for these conditions. However, if the caller is abroad and is calling Cyprus, the customer will receive the Missed Call Alert SMS.
- If a Pay Monthly MTN subscriber calls another Pay Monthly MTN subscriber, with the Caller Tunez service active, then the caller will hear the music but will not hear the announcement that the subscriber is unavailable, the music will continue until the caller hangs up, however the MTN subscriber will receive the Missed Call Alert Message.
- If a fixed CYTA number calls an MTN Pay Monthly subscriber, they will not hear the announcement that the customer is unavailable. They will just hear the ring ring sound until they hang up. However, the customer will receive the Missed Call Alert SMS.
- For multiple missed calls from the same number, you will receive a summary SMS. (Applies only if the customers’ phone is off or out of coverage)
- The SMS originator for the Missed Call Alert Service is ‘MTN’.
- Each SMS will show the caller ID in the international format. (e.g.: +35796(9)(7)xxxxxx, +3572xxxxxx
