The role:

As an Oracle SOA Engineer, you will assist in the day to day design and development of new software applications and maintenance of existing software applications. Radio Coverage Planning and Acquisition Engineer - Nicosia

The role:

We are currently looking for a Radio Coverage Planning and Acquisition Engineer, who will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of the contractor that manages site acquisition, design, legalization, contract renewal process and EMF measurements. Furthermore, to represent MTN in site acquisition and legalization processes. Assesses coverage gaps and designs and plans changes in the radio coverage to tackle thosee.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents MTN in site acquisition processes, where the involved parties can be private building owners, governmental bodies, local authorities (municipalities, community councils) and others building owners.
  • Evaluates and confirms the acquisition proposals provided by the relevant sub-contractor.
  • Represents MTN at meetings and surveys with the Ministry of Communications and Works Department of Electronic Communications and suggests technical modifications on new and existing radio sites to meet the requirements set for legalization.
  • Support, trouble-shoot, administer existing third party or in-house SOA applications and/or other software applications.
  • Follow the development and operational procedures fully.
  • Identifies the stakeholders, prepares and follows up massive acquisition campaigns for the introduction of new radio layers of higher (GHz) range (LTE+ and eventually 5G).
  • Monitors EMF measurements of new and existing radio sites and assures alignment with the standards and requirements set by the Department of Electronic Communications.
  • Works closely, monitors and evaluates the performance of the contractor that manages site acquisition, design, legalization, contract renewal process and EMF measurements.
  • Produces relevant reports for the progress of the aforementioned processes.
  • Designs and plans the expansions of radio network coverage (from the perspective of new sites, repeaters, sectors, spectrum bands, etc.).
  • Provides physical radio site optimization proposals, while follows up with the radio physical optimization actions proposed by the Huawei team.
  • Efficiently identifies suitable locations for new radio stations, for all technologies (2G/3G/4G/Wi-Fi).
  • Plans hardware configuration of the radio stations, per the requirements set by Access Network Planning and Transmission Network Planning.
  • Qualitatively evaluates the radio network coverage through surveys and drive tests.
  • Coordinates and prepares the execution of benchmark measurements.
  • Works with Huawei for the resolution of coverage related customer complaints, where physical actions or new sites or sectors are required.

Knowledge/Education:

  • BSc (Bachelor) in Computing Science or Engineering.
  • Master degree in Telecommunications or Networks will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in radio networks will be considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in negotiations will be also considered as an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of mobile network concepts, architectures and communication flows.

Core Network Planning Engineer - Nicosia

The role:

We are seeking to recruit a Core Network Planning Engineer who will be responsible for designing, dimensioning, planning, delivering and reporting for the Core Networks. Furthermore, providing cost optimized, reliable and high-performance Core Networks solutions, according to the MTN overall strategic targets and the guidelines given by Core Networks Planning Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, designs and dimensions (hardware and software) the elements of the Core Networks.
  • Prepares detailed configuration instructions.
  • Designs and dimensions the intra- and inter-connectivity with other networks and/or high-level elements of the network (e.g. MSS, MGW, MME, SGSN, S/P-GW, GGSN, MGCF, BSC, RNC).

Business Continuity Manager - Nicosia

The role:

We are currently looking for a Business Continuity Manager (BCM) for our head offices in Nicosia, Cyprus. As a Business Continuity Manager, you will be responsible to develop, implement and manage MTN’s Business Continuity Management programme and ensure that the programme is implemented, monitored and maintained across the entire organization, on an on-going basis to consistently minimize business continuity risk within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address legal and regulatory requirements and contractual obligations for business continuity.
  • Overall accountability and responsibility for BCM policy implementation, review and update.
  • Overall responsibility for implementation and maintenance of Business Continuity Management programme.
  • Raise the level of BCM awareness and training within MTN.

  • 3 – 5 years experience in implementing business continuity management, disaster recovery and crisis management plans, with at least two (2) years’ experience in the telecommunication industry.

TV Service Delivery Coordinator - Nicosia

The role:

We are currently looking for a talented TV Service Delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of TV service installations with outsource technicians, including problem solving/dealing with queries internally and externally. The employment contract will be a on a fixed-term basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high level of TV service installation to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Allocating work across all Technicians / Service Provider used and balance workload accordingly.

VAS Operations Engineer - Nicosia

The role:

We are currently looking for a talented VAS Operations Engineer. The successful candidate will Responsible for the operation, configuration implementation and maintenance of the VAS platforms, incl. IPTV, as well as the introduction and testing of new user devices in the network.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation, operation and maintenance tasks of VAS services and solutions to achieve high QoS and minimize service outages.

Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Specialist - Nicosia

The role:

We are seeking to recruit a Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Specialist who will be working closely with various departments and all levels within the organization with the responsibility to implement controls that mitigate revenue leakage/fraud and to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of revenue assurance and fraud controls using data analytics tools and PL/SQL scripts.
  • Proactively monitor and review transaction data for suspicious activity and possible fraud.
  • Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Identify business rules that govern each revenue stream.
  • Perform end to end data reconciliations as per the activity calendar.
  • Investigate areas of revenue and fraud risk and take actions to improve.
  • Keep detailed records of suspicious activity, analyse trends, communicate security threats to management and provide recommendations for loss elimination as needed.
  • Ensures there are processes in place to monitor data, act on key indicators, develop corrective action plans and work with manager to address control and processes.
  • Communicating results of activities to RAFM Manager and other stakeholders in the company.
  • Develop new reporting models and metrics to improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of RAFM controls.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science or STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • PL/SQL is a must.
  • ETL development.
  • Tableau (or another BI tool).
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, Excel in particular.
  • Very strong analytical skills.
  • Basic Accounting knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous experience in revenue assurance, fraud or risk management will be considered as an advantage.
  • Understanding of telecoms.
  • Understanding of billing systems.
  • Fluent written and spoken Greek and English.
