    Data Charges

    Ad-Hoc Connection: Ideal for occasional internet users and is based on the amount of KB that the subscriber consumes. The charge per 2KB is €0.001997 (€1.02 per MB).

    MTN PayAsYouSurf service: MTN PayAsYouGo subscribers, also have the option have the option of activating the MTN PayAsYouSurf service!
    Simply select the time period you want for access to the internet and send the appropriate indication to 6040 to activate the service:

Terms & Conditions
  • Call charges are set out in the MTN PayAsYouGo Price Guide. We can vary these charges from time to time. There may be additional charges for data and other services.
  • No bill will be issued for your use of the MTN PayAsYouGo service.
  • Each call you make is charged at the rate which is applied when the call commences.
  • Calls are charged per second.
  • There is an additional call set-up charge for each successful call to all national networks.
  • Call to universal access, premium, short, special numbers have different charging principles.
  • Your MTN PayAsYouGo account should be topped up with the selected prepaid amount. Your ability to make calls (except 112/199) will cease when the credit on your MTN PayAsYouGo account is zero, or has expired even if you are on call.
  • The validity period of top up cards varies based on the value of the top up card as indicated at the Table of the To – Up Cards.
  • After the end of the validity period of the initial airtime or of the top up card, you can only make emergency calls for the next 3 months. If you want to reactivate your account you will have to top up your account (except Booster Cards).
  • When the validity of your account expires, all your remaining airtime, SMS and data balance (including bonus airtime, SMS and data) will be lost.
  • MTN booster cards can only be used if your MTN PayAsYouGo account is active within the validity period.
  • We reserve the right to change the method by which you prepay for airtime on the network.
  • We are not responsible for any calls being cut off where your airtime credit has been used up.
  • Calls to any service numbers of other Network Operators will be charged accordingly.
  • Calls to access your voice messaging service will be charged.
  • The SMS service gives you the opportunity to send and receive short text messages to and from other mobile phone users in Cyprus and abroad. The number of characters per message depends on the coding of your mobile (7-bit, UTF-16 ή UCS-2) and the alphabet that you use. For example, if you would like to send a message and the text is in capital letters or in Latin script and your mobile coding is configured to 7-bit alphabet, then your message may include up to 160 characters. If you wish to send a text in small Greek letters, then irrespective of coding, your message may include up to 70 characters. For more information you may contact the MTN Call Center at 136.
  • Even when the SIM card is not in your possession, all charges for calls made using that SIM card will be debited from your MTN PayAsYouGo account.
  • Please contact MTN Call Centre at 136 immediately if you lose your SIM card, or if it is stolen, so that it can be deactivated.
  • If you lose or damage your SIM card you will need to purchase a new SIM card or a new Connection Pack. A new Connection Pack will have a new number.
  • PAYG subscribers that switch to PM will lose the credits that are currently available on their PAYG account.
  • MTN as the Network Provider will not held liable for the Premium Services offered by Premium Services Providers in accordance to the Legislation (K.Δ.Π. 42/2013).
