Thanos Chronopoulos is the new CEO of MTN Cyprus

MTN Cyprus is pleased to announce that Mr. Thanos Chronopoulos, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer. He will begin in his new post as of the 1st of November 2018.

The move strongly demonstrates the trust of the new shareholders, Monaco Telecom, to the local company’s leadership and their dedication to move MTN Cyprus forward by making use of its own forces.

The new CEO is considered one of the main protagonists in MTN Cyprus’ success story the last five years and the company’s excellent positive results that reshaped the Cypriot telecommunications market.

Mr. Martin Peronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom commented on the selection of Mr. Thanos Chronopoulos saying: “I am confident that Mr. Chronopoulos will be a great leader for our Company and he will face the main challenges successfully, with all his positive energy and his knowledge of telecommunications industry. Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Chronopoulos said: «Ι want to thank the board for their trust and confidence. We are ready for the big leap forward and we are committed to succeed».

Mr. Chronopoulos has been at MTN Cyprus since 2012. He has served as Chief Marketing Officer until 2015 when he was appointed as Chief Commercial Officer. He has over 16 years of experience in telecommunications in Cyprus and Greece.
