Registrations for ΜΤΝ Innovation Challenge 2 began, with prizes of 35.000 euro in cash and the prospect of collaboration with MTN!

For the second year in a row, MTN launches MTN Innovation Challenge competition and in the context of “Making Ideas Happen”, it offers start-ups of Cyprus the necessary material and technical infrastructure, guidance and financial support to help them implement their ideas and stand out.

Competing start-ups should submit innovative and integrated business proposals based on software solutions, covering one of the following three sectors, which are tourism, education and business productivity, in order to claim 35.000 euro in cash, as well as the prospect of collaborating with MTN.

Teams can register until 30th June and after their evaluation, the eligible ones will get the chance to proceed to Phase A of the competition and submit a detailed and improved version of their idea by the 31st of July. On the 5th of August, presentations will be held in the presence of the judging committee of MTN Innovation Challenge 2, leading to the selection of the three prevailing teams that will proceed to Phase B. The three finalists will be announced on 10th August and they will receive 5.000 euro in cash each, to work on the implementation and finalization of their idea. The final and crucial presentations will take place on 30th September in front of the Judges and the big winner of MTN Innovation Challenge 2 will get 20.000 euro in cash, as well as the opportunity to promote his or her idea through MTN’s network.

At ΜΤΝ Innovation Challenge 1, 48 teams competed and the team of Erato Aristotelous with Talktokkie service won the big prize. Through this competition, MTN proves and expands its active support to the local start-up community, in which it has been systematically investing in the past few years, through various platforms and programmes that promote youth entrepreneurship, such as Open Coffee, StartUp Live and IDEA.
