Y'ello Days

The 21 Days of Y’ello Care, the MTN voluntary programme through which all MTN employees work voluntarily for 21 consecutive days, was concluded recently. This year, MTN focused on informing and educating the public on internet safety and Cyberbullying.

The 21 Days of Y’ello Care program began with a charity cycling ride by MTN volunteers, who travelled the whole route from Limassol to the MTN Headquarters in Nicosia. For every person that took part in the cycling ride, MTN offered €100.
During the 21 days, MTN volunteers visited elementary schools and taught the students how to use the internet safely and how to handle Cyberbullying.

The ending of the MTN 21 Days of Y’ello Care programme was marked by the MTN Y’ello Fun Day, a day of care and full of fun, with games and activities for the whole family. The event took place on the 24th of June at the training facilities of APOEL in Archangelos, in Nicosia. All those who attended the event, from kids to adults, had the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks, play in bouncing castles, paint and play foosball and basketball, as well as to watch a football game between the MTN volunteers and Veteran Players of the Veterans’ Football Club of Nicosia. A great support to the event was the contribution of the Veterans’ Football Club of Nicosia who did not only participated to the event for free but they made a donation for the cause as well, and the contribution of APOEL Football Club, who graciously offered its training facilities to MTN for the event, free of charge.

All proceeds of the Y’ello Fun Day and the cycling ride, will be given for technical equipment for School of the Blind and the Special Units of Elementary Schools.

With the 21 Days of Y’ello Care, the MTN family reveals its socially responsible side in action. This year with its educational activities in special schools, MTN gave our fellow citizens the means to face the new digital era and its challenges with greater confidence.
